Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using The Distillery, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the service.

Description of Service

The Distillery is a token optimization proxy for Claude Code and compatible API clients. It intercepts Anthropic API requests locally on your machine, optimizes context to reduce token usage, and reports only the resulting token counts and cost deltas to our servers. Your code, prompts, and conversation content never leave your device.

Pricing and Billing

The Distillery uses a savings-based fee model. Solo accounts are charged 15% of savings above €20. Teams accounts are charged 12% of aggregate savings above €20, capped at €150 per month. If your monthly savings do not exceed €20, no fee is charged.

All billing is handled by Stripe and denominated in EUR. Fees are calculated at the end of each billing period and charged automatically to your payment method on file.

Free Tier

The Distillery is free to use until your monthly savings exceed €20. Once your savings exceed this threshold, metered billing activates for the remainder of that billing period. You can monitor your current savings in real time from your account dashboard.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the account dashboard. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which no further fees are charged. There is no cancellation fee.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Resell or sublicense access to The Distillery without written authorization
• Attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or reverse-engineer the fee calculation
• Use the proxy to route requests involving prohibited or illegal content
• Violate Anthropic's usage policies as they apply to the Claude API

Intellectual Property

The Distillery brand, codebase, and marketing materials are the intellectual property of the operator. You retain full ownership of your own code, prompts, and conversation content. We never claim any rights over content that passes through the proxy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Distillery is provided on an as is and as available basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands and, where applicable, the European Union. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the last-updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of The Distillery after a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
